Ever have one of those days when you long for the spa. You know a really luxurious spa weekend where you could be massaged, steamed, bathed, scrubbed and buffed to your heart’s content. And then you happen to compare your finances to the spa’s prices and then you ditch that idea quick fast and in a hurry.
When I’m craving an awesome exfoliation session I just happen to jump in the shower with a batch of my homemade sugar scrub. Afterwards my skin is shining like new money.
This easy recipe requires only a few ingredients. Namely sugar, oil, and an essential oil of your choice.
Grab a small mason jar, around 6 oz. Also you can use olive oil or coconut oil (your choice) to mix with the sugar. And don’t forget your essential oil to add a nice scent to your scrub. Measure out 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of olive or coconut oil. Combine oil and sugar into mason jar and stir together until mixture bonds.
Lastly add in 2-3 drops of your essential oil to give the scrub a delicious scent. I used peppermint for my scrub but the possibilities are endless.
Enjoy!
