This past week I visited Char-Grill, a small burger joint that’s been around for a good long time. I’d been years ago when a co-worker suggested we eat there for lunch. In my mind I naively thought Cookout (fast food restaurant for those folks reading this outside of NC/SC) was the be all end all on a delicious fresh off the charcoal grill tasting burger. Char-Grill’s burgers usurped that idea real quick! So fast forward some years later and I thought I’d stop by on my lunch break.
Now it may look run of the mill but this 1/2 pound burger was delicious! Yes I said half of a pound. Don’t worry, if that’s too much meat for you they also have a 1/4 pound option as well. The burgers are made to order and have that wonderful charcoal grill taste that reminds you of a cookout on a summer evening. I love to add chili to my burgers and it really sets it off. The fries are nice and hot and compliment the meal.
Oh and if you or someone you love is a beer fanatic, they have a cool little beer shop inside the restaurant. They also have beer and wine tastings. Visit their website to get a better idea! Chargrill
